I’m hoping to buy a house next year and I wanted to try and raise my credit scores.

These are my credit scores as of 7-18-2013:

Equifax – 727
Transunion – 716
Experian – 738

I have a shortsale from 5 years ago, I have zero debt.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

peace

Lenders will be looking at your middle score when determining your eligibility and the terms/interest rate you may qualify for. With a middle score of 727, you should qualify for great terms and personally I see no need for a credit repair service at this time..

I was told by one lender that if my middle score was 730, that he could do slightly better on my loan...<shrug>

That's true, some lenders may offer an interest rate 1/8 - 1/4 percent lower for scores 730-740+. Don't hesitate to shop around and get quotes from other lenders.

Have you tried Lexington Law? They are pretty reputable.
