    Indymac and 1099

Thanks! I'll check it out. Property was located in California. We are now in Washington. We have put in change of addresses with the Post Office. My husband is worried that we need the form for doing our taxes. Our tax guy said to put in for an extension, and just wait awhile longer. Just would...

    Indymac and 1099

We have not received any 1099 forms from Indymac. House was foreclosed 3/2012. The last thing I want to do is have to call Indymac, as I avoided that during the foreclosure process. Wondering if anyone who went through foreclosure in 2012 with Indymac have received their 1099 forms?

My walk from Rancho Cordova CA begins...

Ok. Thank You. At this time the Lender (Indymac) only has a P.O.Box address for us. We have no intention at this time to pay on this loan. If Indymac wants their money, they can go to the house and take all the improvements back that the loan paid for. We believe the loan will be written off...

Hi, Would You mind telling how You got the balance of the 2nd mortgage removed from Your credit report. I noticed last month that the balance of our 1st mortgage had been removed according to creditkarma. (House was sold in early March 2012) But, the balance of the 2nd is still showing on both...

    Still figjhting with Indymac

Hi, We didn't attempt a short sale or deed in lieu. From the research I did on this site, and many others, I just did not think there was any use in trying anything but just going into foreclosure. Our home was about $250,000 underwater, and after reading articles on Indymac, we didn't see any...

    Still figjhting with Indymac

You're welcome. Not sure why Cat edited my post. The article had a lot of information in it. We decided to just do a straight foreclosure with Indymac. Our payment would have ballooned as of last month. We wanted to make sure that we got in under the deadline for the Debt Relief Mortgage Act...

    Still figjhting with Indymac

Be Very Careful Hi, Be very careful in your dealings with Indymac. I did alot of research, we had both our 1st and 2nd with them, and in the end we decided to go straight to foreclosure and not deal with them.

What is the benefit of settling a 2nd mortgage? (California)

I'm in California too. Both our loans were with Indymac. Our house sold at auction on March 9th, 2012. We've received one bill since then for the 2nd. Right now the only address Indymac has for us is a P.O. Box. So far things have really gone smoothly over all. Will be interested to see answers...

home insurance during foreclosure process ?

I kept up our homeowners insurance to protect us in case someone came on our property. The day the house was sold at auction, I cancelled it. Stopped paying the HOA. Feeling very good about life right now.

House was just auctioned off - Question on HOA dues

We're in California, and I don't believe there is a redemption period here. Though it was hard to loose the house, we realized that it was the best thing for us. There was a ton of repairs that still needed to be done, even though we had worked on it for over thirteen years. And the house was...

House was just auctioned off - Question on HOA dues

I know that common sense tells me to not worry about it, but I've never met anyone on the board of directors of an HOA that had any common sense. : )

House was just auctioned off - Question on HOA dues

House was just auctioned off on Friday 3/9/2012. HOA dues are payable on the 1st of the month, and late after the 15th. We technically owned the house for the first 8 days of March, though we were locked out of it. Do I pay the HOA a prorated amount for those days? Or do I tell the HOA to go...

    what do i expect next

Just wanted to comment that we were also with Indymac. No Cash For Keys either. They rekeyed the house before the auction date.

    Auction date

Our auction is scheduled for this Friday. Went up to the house today to check on it, hadn't been there for a couple of weeks, and found the front door rekeyed and one of the gates (there's five gates on the property, guess they didn't figure on that). It's ok, because anything left in the house...

June / July Walkers in Here

Sale in 16 days and counting The "sale" of our house is scheduled for 3/9/2012. I think I will go ahead and have the electricity and water turned off now. Hoping that the lender doesn't postpone the sale. We will be happy to be done with the process, and relieved to be able to make use of the...

    what do i expect next

I would love any suggestions as to where to look up the information for when our house sells. I'm also looking to "be off the hook" with the HOA Fees, Watering the yard costs, and Insurance. I really don't want to have to speak to the lender. We should be receiving the Notice of Sale soon, as...

My Classy Walk from Wells Fargo in San Diego

So glad for you that you found a great place to rent. : ) Wanted to ask a question. You mentioned that the USPS gave the lender your address. So is it best to not file a change of address with the Post Office? I was hoping to find a way that the "rotten mail" doesn't follow us here to our...

How long after foreclosure for deed to transfer out of our name

Please, Please, Please keep this thread going. I, also, need to know what to do as this foreclosure story of ours winds down. Our NOD was filed on 11/10/2011. Haven't received a sale date yet. Could be as early as the first week of March. We have been out of the house since September, but...
